Mines View Park, Baguio City
Perched at the edge of Baguio City, Mines View Park offers one of the most dramatic panoramas in the entire Cordillera region. On a clear day, the view stretches across an abandoned gold and copper mining valley and deep into the surrounding mountain ranges — it’s the kind of view that stops you mid-sentence.
It’s one of Baguio’s most visited spots, and for good reason.
What Is Mines View Park?
Mines View Park is a public lookout point in the Brookside area of Baguio City, named after the gold and copper mines that once operated in the valley below. The park sits at an elevation that gives visitors an unobstructed view of the mountain landscape, and on clear mornings the scenery is genuinely breathtaking.
Beyond the views, the area has developed into a lively spot with souvenir stalls, local food vendors, and the famous photo opportunity of wearing traditional Igorot costumes.

What to Do There
- Take in the panoramic views — the main lookout deck offers wide, unobstructed views of the valley and mountains
- Browse the souvenir market — one of the best places in Baguio to buy pasalubong, woodcarvings, silver jewelry, and local crafts
- Try the local food stalls — strawberries, taho, and local snacks are sold right at the park
- You’ll also find vendors offering photos with St. Bernard dogs — a long-standing fixture at the park that some visitors enjoy and others choose to skip.
- Visit the observation deck shop — inside the main building there are more shops and a great elevated view

Tam-awan Village — a slightly longer ride but a perfect cultural add-on to your day
Tips Before You Go
Go early morning — the views are clearest before the clouds roll in, usually by mid-morning
Weekdays are calmer — weekends draw large crowds, especially tour buses from the lowlands
Bargain respectfully — the souvenir market has fixed-price items and negotiable ones, locals will tell you which is which
Watch the weather — fog can roll in quickly and completely obscure the view, so don’t delay if it’s clear when you arrive
